birds on my porch
location of the nest: We are located in the Greenwood/Phinney/Very North Ballard area of Seattle. The nest is a depression in the top of a pillar on the South West corner of our front porch. In the picture to the left you will see a small plaster gargoyle. A couple days ago I got home from work and found it had been knocked down. I have not put it back up yet as it is easier to take pictures without it there.   A picture of the Male bird of the pair. These appear to be Purple Finches.
